TERM ONE WOW! Yesterday was awesome. Lots of students were ready to get up and speack.
The students from our school that were standing and speaking were Stacey, Andrea, Hiwi, Kayne, Te Rata, Kristina, Destiny, Nellie, Kupu, Karyn and I we all did a good job I reckon(: I took Regans camera to take some photos with Te Hurutea but when it was morning tea and lunchtime we weren't allowed to go roaming around Te Wananga o Aotearoa, about four hours through the whole day we spent sitting down on the uncomfortable red patterned chairs I was sitting by Stacey and we were sticking our feet on the other chairs. It was funny as, me and Stacey were cracking up loud as but then we got a growling from koka ihipera. My best speakers were Te Hurutea and Holly
and why Holly because i liked one of her lines which was "DONT FEAR MY DEAR HOLLY IS HERE"
that cracked me up(: Now why did I like Te Hurutea? she empathize her words, she was loud and clear and she was awesome doing the Poi(:
Learning Intention
We are learning to work co-operatively to build a hut
that will enhance our school.
Success Criteria
We will know we have done this when we have worked
together as a team.
When we have finished our hut and when we can share our
hut with our whanau.
E C O H U T ! On the first day of designing our eco hut we had to vote for a design out of our whole class there were lots of A W E S O M E designs but they voted for my design.About 2 or 3 weeks later we started collecting our resources from down the pig farm and up at uncle albiez and Mr K.M Dimond I think we got more than 40 or 50 long bamboo sticks and while we were getting the bamboo and harakeke Aroha and Joy were ringing up to people so we did get some real-estate boards for the front of our ecohut.The bamboo was used for our 3 walls and Corrigated iron for the roof, the eco hut was nice and stable because of the tikauka and cement in the ground and our ecohut is still standing nice and straight. On the last day of the eco hut we had a opening day when the parents came to our school to have a look at the eco hut and then we had the judging day and althrough the whole term and hard work we put towards the eco hut we won the whole competition. :) :)
